Application

Used as solubilizer and crosslinker in polymer chemistry; It is used in organic synthesis, especially in the construction of heterocyclic rings such as imidazole.

Glyoxal can be used as finishing agent of viscose fiber, insoluble binder of polyvinyl alcohol and starch, and raw material of paint, dye and medicine. It can also be used as pharmaceutical intermediates, fabric finishing agents and dye intermediates.
